Welcome to Wild Awakening Counseling & Healing
Awaken to your authentic Self and deepen your connection with others and the world around you.
“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us”
- J.R.R Tolkien
Welcome to Wild Awakening. Bri here! I’m so glad you’ve arrived. Wild Awakening is here to support you on your mental health journey and in connecting with yourself, others, and the world around you. I work with clients and professional healers who want to increase their self-awareness, deepen their experiences, and step into their most authentic selves.
Wild Awakening’s Intention & Values
Connection is the foundation of Wild Awakening, and through therapy you can create a better relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you. Therapy can support our growth by bringing awareness to all parts of ourselves — even the ones we’re most afraid or ashamed of. Healing is more than just managing mental health symptoms. Healing is about increasing our awareness and discovering what’s already under the surface: our most authentic Self— as weird, wild, nerdy, and unconventional as you may be. My values are a reflection of the philosophies, teachers and mentors, and communities I've experienced over the years. Connection is central to all my values, and it's my hope that our relationship and your healing work with me can be a catalyst for experiencing and embodying the values of curiosity, courage, authenticity, compassion, inner wisdom, and systemic change.

Meet Bri Dixon, M.Ed, LPC
Hi! I’m Bri (she/her). I received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 and I’m currently in a PhD program for Counselor Education and Supervision. If you want to learn more about my educational and professional experience, read more here.
I believe meaningful connections are the path to healing. When working with me, you can expect me to show up authentically, transparently, compassionately and empathetically. I welcome laughter and fun into healing spaces and often integrate experiential activities and somatic experiences in sessions. I also use nature, music, books, and other forms of art to support others in connecting with themselves on a deeper level.
I work from the perspective of Relational Cultural Theory, Gestalt, Attachment Theory, and Internal Family Systems with a mix of other therapeutic modalities. In session, this looks like exploring patterns in your life, how you show up in relationships and discovering and understanding parts of yourself. You can also expect me to take a systems approach to our work, which means I may ask you to reflect on how systemic structures impact your life. Finally, I offer Ecotherapy. My soul feels most grounded and connected when I’m in relationship with Earth and Nature, and I believe in the healing our Earth has to offer.
When I’m not with clients, I’m usually in the mountains or doing something active. I love all things Colorado, including skiing, hiking, camping, and climbing. I also really love to travel and adventure to new places. If I’m not out and about, then I’m probably reading, meditating, re-watching Lord of the Rings, or hanging out with my dog, Gimli.
