Welcome to Wild Awakening!

My name is Bri (she/her). I started my journey as a healer in 2017 and started Wild Awakening in 2024 to create a space to help you make sense of your experiences and what it means to be human. I believe connection is the path to healing, and meaningful connection is what you can expect with me as a client, supervisee, or as someone who joins me for a workshop, retreat, etc. With all folx, I show up authentically, transparently, compassionately and empathetically. I welcome laughter and fun into healing spaces, and often integrate a lot of experiential activities, creativity, and somatic experiences in sessions, workshops, and retreats. I also use nature, music, books, and other forms of art to support others in connecting with themselves on a deeper level.

When I’m not with clients, I’m usually in the mountains or doing something active. I love all things Colorado, including skiing, hiking, camping, and climbing. I also really love to travel and adventure to new places. If I’m not out and about, then I’m probably reading, meditating, re-watching Lord of the Rings, or hanging out with my dog, Gimli, appropriately named after the LOTR character.

Education: I received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I’m currently in a PhD program for Counselor Education and Supervision.

Clinical Experience and Specialties: I’m passionate about working with folx who have experienced developmental trauma, relational trauma, struggle with substance use, suicide, and grief & loss. I’m also excited to work with LBGTQIA+ folx and although not a member of this community, I’m a loving ally. If you want to learn more about my educational and professional experience, read more here.

Theoretical Orientation (What I do): I work from the perspective of Relational Cultural Theory, and Internal Family Systems (read more about these here) with some sprinkles of other therapeutic modalities thrown in. In session, this looks like us exploring patterns in your life, how you show up in relationships and discovering and understanding parts of yourself. Often, we’ll discuss what’s happening in our therapeutic relationship and how we experience one another, and how this might be similar to other relationships in your life. You can also expect me to take a systems approach to our work, which means I may ask you to reflect on how systemic structures impact your life. Finally, I offer Ecotherapy. My soul feels most grounded and connected when I’m in relationship with Earth and Nature, and I believe in the healing our Earth has to offer. Read more about Ecotherapy here.
